LifeSource Terri Opp Memorial Golf Tournament
Terri Opp was a young woman who died while waiting for a heart transplant. Though she needed the gift of life, she also gave it – Terri was a tissue and cornea donor upon her death. Terri worked for 3M, and it was her co-workers, family and friends who began the LifeSource Terri Opp Memorial Golf Tournament in 1995. Over the past 12 years $410,000 has been raised by Terri’s friends and family to support education about donation and transplantation in her memory.
The contributions allow LifeSource to develop materials such as brochures, posters, workbooks and giveaways. This includes driver’s education materials which are distributed to approximately 60,000 students throughout Minnesota.
